The Tree of Enchantment: Ancient Wisdom and Magical Practices of the Faery Tradition by Orion Foxwood. © 2008 Weiser Books. ISBN 978-1-57863-407-1. Paperback. Paganism / Witchcraft. 264 pages. $19.95 US. [ Purchase ]

Synopsis
The Tree of Enchantment is the symbol for the relationships we must cultivate to find the truths we seek—with the Lower realm, where the roots of the tree entwine with the dead; and with the Middle realm where we dwell beside both the living and hidden earth; and with the Upper realm that reaches to the stars. When we communicate with all three we will begin to know our truths and work the magic of the Faery Tradition. [from back cover]

Basic Yoga for Everybody by Gertrud Hirschi

Posted by Teresa on May 6, 2007 under (Health/Mind/Body, Yoga) | Permalink

Basic Yoga for Everybody by Gertrud Hirschi. © 1998 Red Wheel/Weiser. ISBN 1-57863-103-3. 1 Book and 84 Card set. $29.95 US. [ Purchase ]

The accompanying book, though short, contains great primers on breathing techniques and explains how to use the cards to your advantage. The cards allow you to see what areas of the body are worked with this and what organs and systems are most benefited. They also allow you to create your own yoga routine depending on how advanced you are or have become. This makes an excellent companion to Gertrud’s other book on mudras (Mudras: Yoga in Your Hands).
