Synopsis: Magnus Carstens, an eminent glaciologist, recently had to change his life: he’s become his nephew Jakob’s guardian after the boy’s parents died in a plane crash, he’s taken a new job as a park ranger, and he’s moved them to Mistletoe, Wyoming, so he can offer a stable home to Jakob while still contributing to science. Review: Honestly at first I wasn’t going to do a review for this short story because I hadn’t read a lot of Gay stories and didn’t feel like I could comment, but after I read it I changed my mind. The story was well written and utterly cute, sweet and it is oriented around family and Christmas. The characters are so three dimensional and you can see just where they are coming from. Magnus is so smart yet when it comes to his emotions he is so stupid, but he learns fast. Lance is so lovable you just want to take him home and Jakob is so sad, and sweet you just want to cuddle him. Now this is a romance with a little bit of sex but it is tastefully done and it is put in to further the story rather than just sex for the sake of sex. I absolutely loved the story.
