I have a hard time controlling what I say when it comes to hot political topics such as civil liberties, so instead of going off on an enraged tangent (and perhaps sparing myself from any libel I might commit against Scroggins for if I begin on a tirade I will not be held responsible for my actions, therefore I shall sustain entirely) in a post of my own, I’ll direct you to some amazing posts by my fellow bloggers with whom I agree wholeheartedly—
Aww, who am I kidding? I can’t NOT say something about this.
To those who support censorship: You undermine the civil liberties given to each citizen of the United States by the Constitution with your actions. Yes, you are entitled to your opinions and the right to raise your children how you see fit (the Constitution gives you those rights after all), however, you have no right to push your opinion onto the masses. Don’t like Speak, don’t want your kids to read Speak? Fine, don’t read it. But don’t try and take the right to read it from everyone else. And this goes to all you Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, Crank and etcetera haters as well. Your actions are un-American and un-Constitutional, and not to mention despicable.
